Efficiëntie verbetering in de Nederlandse dierlijke productie en het effect daarvan op de N- en P- kringlopen: Efficiëntie op dierniveau in relatie tot de efficiëntie van hogere kringlopen

In the public-private partnership Feed4Foodure Wageningen UR works on the sustainability of the animal feed production chain and animal husbandry. To get an idea to which extent this contributes to the improvement of the societal value of animal husbandry the impact of an improvement of 5% of the N and P efficiencies on animal level is studied. This is performed by consulting a group of experts using a Nutrient Cycle Assessment Tool. In the report it is mentioned which changes can be expected inside and outside the Netherlands if 1) animal production remains the same, input and excretion decrease; 2) excretion remains the same, input and production increase.
