Efficiëntie van innovatieve vangtuigen voor het vangen van rivierkreeften

To facilitate the management of invasive crayfish populations in Dutch surface waters, new innovative capturing methods are wanted. In a first public ‘Crayfish Challenge’ organized by Hoogheemraadschap Delfland, new innovative ideas were collected. A few of these ideas were developed further and three of them have been tested under controlled semi-field conditions in the experimental ditches at the test facility ‘De Sinderhoeve’ of Wageningen Environmental Research. Catch efficiency, retention of animals caught and by- catches have been investigated..
