Abstract

In the present study we determined the effect of multiple enrichments (elevated platform or perch in addition to lucerne bales) versus a single enrichment (lucerne bales only) on the behaviour and welfare of slower-growing broilers on a commercial farm. The results of the study show that providing elevated platforms with a ramp in addition to lucerne bales is beneficial for slower-growing broiler welfare.
