Abstract

Research into the economic aspects of the GGOR (Preferred Ground and Surface water Regime). A good weighing of functions is one of the most important aspects of GGOR. The current weighing does not incorporate economic knowledge. Several themes are presented which strengthen the economic underpinning of the process to establish GGOR, among others: costs of measures, autonomous development of agriculture, farm-economic damage and weighing of interests. Proposals for economically based improvements of the 'Waternood' system to formulate GGOR are given.
