Abstract
Lecture on the assumption of the professorship in ecological agriculture at the Wageningen Agricultural University in The Netherlands, 25 Februry 1993. First the concept of ecological agriculture is defined. Secondly the research projects and methods of the department of ecological agriculture are outlined. Finally the perspectives for a break-through of ecological agriculture are discussed
