Abstract

The oil palm sugar industry has significant potential to boost regional economies and support sustainable agriculture by utilizing oil palm trunks at replanting. However, significant challenges exist such as an unreliable raw material supply, underdeveloped production technology, and suboptimal market access for the gula produced. With support in modern technology, mapping of replanting cycles, and improved market access, the industry has the potential to grow further and bring substantial economic benefits to local producers and surrounding communities.
