Abstract
This study applied the true price method, developed within the PPP ‘True and Fair Price for Sustainable Products’, to conventional and organic pork. The study showed that the method can be used to determine the most important impact categories (hotspots) of products. The results indicate that the impact categories air pollution and land use contribute most to the true price gap of conventional and organic pork. To improve the accuracy of true price estimations, future research should focus on the development of methods for positive impacts and social impact categories. Furthermore, future research should focus on the development of high-quality datasets for non-conventional products to improve true price estimations of these products.
