Abstract
This report contains the papers presented during the seminar "Cultivating Biodiversity" organized by the CPRO-DLO Centre for Genetic Resources, The Netherlands, at 12 November 1993 in Wageningen. At this seminar the "Community biodiversity Development and Conservation Programme" was presented and the book "Cultivating knowledge" launched, which is a result of a seminar in Zimbabwe on local knowledge and agricultural research. Other contributions deal with farmer participation in conservation and development of genetic diversity in crops based on research in Central Africa; examples of use and conservation of plant genetic resources␁, and partnership between NGO's, government and farmers
