Research output: Book/ReportReportProfessional

Abstract

Providing laying hens with diets with a reduced protein content can result in deficiencies in specific amino acids. These deficiencies or disturbances in the amino acid balance can then become limiting. This report describes the results of a laying hen experiment in which the effects of providing low protein feeds, with a fixed reduction of arginine, leucine, histidine or glycine on production results, egg quality and welfare of laying hens from 32 to 50 weeks of age.
