Abstract

This chapter focuses on the various processes that determine the growth and yield of tomatoes, with emphasis on the influence of environmental factors and crop management, such as light, carbon dioxide, temperature, humidity, salinity, plant density and leaf and fruit pruning. Guidelines on how to grow tomato in experiments with a controlled environment are also provided.
