Abstract

The aim of this report is to present the drivers, stakeholders and barriers of the process of improvement of energy efficiency in Dutch agriculture. Based on the DESTEP-method the most important external factors for energy-efficiency in Dutch agriculture are analysed. The DESTEP method is a useful tool for a systematic analysis of external factors. It gives a broad analysis of macro factors that may impinge upon an organization's business and operations. DESTEP stands for: demographic, economic, social, technological, ecological and political.
