Abstract

This chapter presents an overview of community biodiversity management (CBM) methodology based on in-depth experiences from Brazil, Ethiopia, India, France, Nepal and reference cases from several other countries. The key role of the most commonly used participatory practices that integrate empowerment, livelihoods and on-farm management of agricultural biodiversity is also discussed.
