Abstract

Self-assembled polyelectrolyte multilayers from aqueous solutions of PVP and PSS- are characterized by neutron reflectometry. Both the absorbed amount of polymer and the bilayer thickness depend on the ionic strength of the polymer solutions. The water contents of the polymer film decreases in time.
