Abstract

Boundary crossing competence is the ability to learn and work with others outside one’s own scientific domain, institute, culture, or context. It allows you to recognise, seek, appreciate and ulitalise tensions that arise when learning or working with “others”. It is regarded as one of the major competencies needed by future university graduates to respond better to emerging global challenges.
