Abstract

What’s bad for biodiversity is also bad for humankind, says Patrick Jansen, Ecologist at Wageningen University & Research and member of the Wageningen Biodiversity Initiative. “We’re part of nature. We breathe the air, consume the water, depend on pollinators for food.” According to Patrick, we need to stop destroying nature and start restoring it. The sooner we do that, the cheaper, the easier and the safer it will be.
