Abstract

This report describes the involvement of consumers in labelling on the basis of a literature study and two interviews. It appears from the literature that consumer participation in the assessment of sustainability characteristics is currently very limited, which is confirmed by the interviews. The ignorance of the integral considerations that must be made in this assessment may lead to labels being less trusted in the store by the general public.
