Abstract

Benchmarking the environmental impacts of dairy production systems across the world can provide insights into their potential for improvement. However, collection of high-quality data for an environmental impact assessment can be difficult and time consuming. Based on a dataset of 55 dairy farms from different countries, this study aims to identify an effective set of indicators, that can explain most variation between farms and is relatively easy to quantify.
