Bedrijven en ecosysteemdiensten: een casestudie

Research output: Book/ReportReportProfessional

Abstract

In recent years, there has been a change in nature policy. A number of parties are pointing out the role that the business community can and should take in sustainable nature management. Various tools have been developed which businesses can use to quantify the relationship (impact and dependence) of their activities to ecosystem services and biodiversity. However, the use of these tools is limited. The goal of this project was to gain experience in the use of these tools. The question is, what can we learn from a case study in which a tool designed to provide insight into relationships between businesses and ecosystem services is applied to a concrete case? We chose to take a regional approach and to take inventory of the impact within a 25-km radius around the Chemelot industrial estate.
