Bedrijfsontwikkeling in zorg en recreatie in de agrarische sector : aspecten rond investeringen en financiering

The Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality wants to get insight into the investment behaviour and finance strategies of farmers who diversify their farm with a secondary activity. The research is based on information from the Dutch FADN and on interviews with experts in the sector. The research focuses on care farms and farms with recreation facilities. It shows that many farmers know little about the economic data, such as the cost price, of the secondary activities. Investment decisions on the basis of returns or cash flow are hence difficult to make.
