Abstract
This paper is intended to contribute to a data-led and evidence-based point in view to the discussion around living income for cocoa farmers in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire – the largest cocoa producing countries in the world. It presents new insights from research and data gathered by the author organizations, Wageningen University & Research and Cocoa Life – Mondelēz International’s cocoa sustainability program – alongside inputs from a range of partners and other sector experts. This report follows a shorter discussion paper published in November 2020.
