The study presents advantages and disadvantages of alternative forms of regulating the licensing of cofermentation products in manure fermentation. A comparison is also made with regulations in Germany and Belgium. The advantages and disadvantages of seven alternatives are subsequently discussed. The study indicates that there are possibilities for adjusting the policy in order to make manure fermentation with cofermentation products more profitable within the environmental limiting conditions.
