Abstract
The present document aims to provide a guide for farmers and producers to assess the profitability of investments in Short Food Supply Chains (SFSC). It provides alternative methods for dynamic investment calculation complemented by an example of a mobile layer hen barn with direct sales of eggs. Tips and considerations for the implementation of the calculation methods in other types of sales channels are provided.
