Abstract
The landscape architecture community lacks localized and systematic explorations on the research methods and change management of cultural landscape characteristics in rapidly urbanized areas. Applying landscape feature assessment to the cultural landscape of the Yangtze River Delta Metropolitan Area, the cultural landscape of the Yangtze River Delta Metropolitan Area is divided, classified and evaluated at multiple scales: 21 landscape feature areas are defined at the regional scale; at the urban scale, Suzhou City covers 13 landscape feature areas, of which The polder landscape can be divided into four types: island type, network type, broken type and standard type. Based on the evaluation results of the saliency and resilience of landscape elements and models, this paper proposes a spatial strategy that prioritizes the protection and renewal of water systems and land division models in urban and rural planning and landscape architecture planning.
