WMG Task 2 Overview and search facility  (KB-33-003-012, KB-33-000-012)

A 'thin ice analysis' showed that the knowledge infrastructure of Wageningen Research (WR) is vulnerable in some fields of expertise. One of the measures to improve this is to get the model infrastructure at a qualitative higher level. For that reasing the Wageningen Modelling Grouep (WMG) has been established in 2018. The activities have been distributed into six tasks. Task 2 forcusses on having an overview of alle relevant models that are available at Wageningen Research (WR), and a (search) facility that enables internal and external users to easily select the right model to the desired application. As a result the project should deliver: a library containing metadata of all relevant models, (the Wageningen Model Gallery), and a working proces (with model stewards) that ensures that all metadata information remains up to date. This all is attached to model information that is managed by the individual WR institutes separately and to a database containing information on quality (like self assessments) of models.
