Description

The goal of this project is to develop methods for integral risk analysis of:
1. infectious diseases in livestock, with special attention to vector-borne diseases;
2. human and animal health risks in the neighbourhood of farms.

Part 1 aims to address the need for a method for integral analysis of risks of infectious diseases, to assess such risks and make these risks comparable between different diseases.

Part 2 aims to address the need for an integral analysis of risks to human and animal health in the surroundings of farms. This type of analysis is needed as a basis for an assessment framework for evaluation of these risks to inform decision making by local authorities on farming licenses and on the development of farming areas.
