Project Details
Description
The buildings sector is a major source of global greenhouse gas emissions. Wood as a building material is an interesting strategy in terms of climate change as it not only reduces the CO2 intensive production of steel and cement, but also stores CO2 in wood for a longer term. At this moment, however, only 2% of Dutch wood production is used for wooden buildings. This project explores what the possibilities are to increase this amount the coming years.
