Urban NEXUS: connecting food, water, climate change (KB-25-002-002)

Project: LVVN project

Project Details

Description

In 2050, about 70% of the human population will live in cities. On one hand, cities increasingly face challenges of sustainability, metropolitan resilience and liveability, challenges that put at risk resource and food security (reducing foodmiles), mobility and logistics, water and waste management, health and wellbeing.  On the other hand metropolitan areas are also part of the solution for these kind of problems and sources of innovation. The objective is to gain insight in synergies within urban NEXUS themes (e.g. food, climate change and water) to support (economic) governance and socio-economic evaluation (KB-25-001-002)
