Description
Micropollutants such as pharmaceuticals, personal care products and pesticides are an upcomming threat for the environment. We aim to use the BO3B technology to remove micropollutants from wastewater effluents to reduce micropollutant discharge into the environment. The BO3B technology combines the efficiency of biological processes with the effectivity of ozone treatment to create a treatment technology that can remove a broad range of micropollutants while using limited energy input. The goal of this thesis is to increase our understanding of the synergies between biological and ozone treatment and to investigated how the treatment process can be optimized.
