Project: LVVN project

Project Details

Description

To deal efficiently with scare fresh water, it should be allocated to the user who can attach most value to it. Also water should be used more efficiently. Both on the supply and demand side of water use, innovations play an important role. Innovations are both the development of a new technology and the adaptation of this new technology by a large group of farmers. Firms play a major role in the innovation and hence in the success of fresh water policies. This project models the relation between water demand and the possibilities for innovations in water conservation. Both government as firms play a role in connecting the fresh water demand to its supply. In a case study PPS this is elaborated for a practical case.
