Translational control of seed germination - role of RNA binding proteins

    Project: NWO project

    Project Details

    Description

The germination of the seed is a crucial phase in a plant’s life cycle. The success of the germination determines the success of the next generation, and with that the yield of the plant. Recently, we have discovered that protein production is highly regulated during seed germination. As part of the proposed research we want to investigate the role of special RNA binding proteins in this regulation.
