Translating national forest and landscape restoration targets into local action. Towards scale-sensitive governance

Project: PhD

Project Details

This PhD project focuses on the cross-scale, cross-level and cross-sector challenges that emerge in the translation of national restoration targets into local action, by studying the national FLR governance contexts of Ecuador and Ethiopia. In addition, the project studies the scale-sensitive governance arrangements used, and the scale-sensitive strategies deployed by restoration actors with the aim to create fit between governance and ecological scale processes, and alignment between governance levels.
