Traditioneel gescheperde schaapskuddes (K_NenR_165) (BO-11-019.01-024)

Following a resolution of the Parliament the Dutch government has been asked to support traditional tended sheep herds with historical breeds in the Netherlands. The research is targeted towards a better understanding of the position these kind of sheep herds take in society, of the societal benefits and the costs. The research uses literature to define and describe traditions and interviews to classify various businesses involved in this sector. A workshop will be conducted to find pathways to lasting solutions for the present shortcomings within the institutional arrangements. The results policy might be helpful for programs that adress these issues.
