A change in business strategies and practices is required for an economy that promotes human wellbeing within planetary boundaries. Business strategies and practices are significantly shaped by the ownership of an enterprise. The ownership type that is prevalent among the largest enterprises, the Public Limited Company, has maximizing growth and profit as its core purpose. The need arises for ownership types that allow for a different purpose, one that enables life to flourish. Yet little is known about the characteristics required. This research aims to explore and define ownership characteristics that enable post-growth business strategies and practices
