Systems approach to scaling- potential and limitations for the CGIAR to contribute to agri-food systems transformation

The objective of this thesis is to understand how approaches to scale innovations and to systems change are related and if, and how, they can be integrated in Agricultural Research for Development (AR4D) to contribute to the transformation of agri-food systems. The main research question under investigation is “How can scaling and systems change approaches be integrated by AR4D organizations to improve their contribution to the transformation of agri-food systems?”.
