Project: PhD

Project Details

Description

Leveraging two experimental evaluations of life skills and financial education programmes in India and the Gambia, this research aims to examine three research questions: 1. - Does engaging caregivers increase the effectiveness of an extra-curricular school based life skills and financial literacy programme? Evidence from India 2 - Does more intensive teacher training increase the effectiveness of a subject-infused school based life skills and financial literacy programme? Evidence from the Gambia 3. Does the impact of life skills and financial education programmes on children who are particularly disadvantaged as a result of caste and gender reduce gaps in children’s aspiration and self-efficacy?
