Description
The nature policy of the Netherlands is aimed at a new contract with society. According to this policy the 'people' should be involved more in the conservation of nature. What does this mean for the knowledge policy of the Ministry of Economic Affairs?
A scan among target groups beyond the mainstream nature conservation organisation shows that the need for this new policy is recognised.
To support this new policy more help desk facilities for social initiatives should be offered by the Ministry. The knowledge policy of the Ministry schould focus more on themes like: nature and animals; nature and lifestyle; nature and social capital.
