Project Details
Description
In recent years urban agriculture has been developing strongly in the Netherlands, as it has doing in the global North. Urban agriculture challenges our current view on how food and the city cooperate. Despite the growing interest however, urban agriculture in the Netherlands is small, fragmented and without coherence. Cities could take the lead in embedding urban agriculture in daily life by facilitating local networks, linking national and local policies and sharing knowledge and experience. While local authorities see the value of urban agriculture, they still struggle with
their position concerning its expansion. This project supports cities through handing tools and arguments.
