Description
Land use and cover change has impact the structure and function of ecosystems, which can have a direct impact on biodiversity, climate change and land degradation. In the scope of Upper Brantas watersheds Indonesian, inaccurate land use planning has a negative impact on the sustainability of ecosystems services in a watershed, causing watershed degradation. The problem of decreasing the function of ecosystem services due to land use change, can be reduced with the application of soil and water conservation technologies. Thus, the analysis of projections and directions for soil and water conservation techniques for improving the function of the ecosystem services of the Upper Brantas watershed has important implications and is one of the references for scenarios for soil and water conservation in the area. This research aims to: 1) Analyzing land use-land cover change and projection land use in the Upper Brantas watershed. 2) determine the impact of land use changes in the Upper Brantas watershed on the function of watershed environmental services. 3) Create scenarios for projecting soil and water conservation to improve the function of environmental services in the Upper Brantas watershed.
