SMP23030 High-throughput phenotyping for developing hyper-yield and climate resilient soybean in South Korea (PhenSoy) (BO-69-002-065)

Project: LVVN project

Project Details

Description

The objective of the PhenSoy project is to explore the possibility for future R&D projects with South Korean partners (public and private) on the subject related to high-throughput phenotyping for developing hyper-yield and climate resilient soybean in South Korea.

The aim of the project is to investigate the extent to which the Dutch knowledge and high-tech innovations can be applied in the South Korean soybean sector, and to identify what has to be done to make this happen (i.e.
research, promotion, demonstration, etc). We will set up a consortium of several Dutch technology suppliers supported by WUR to interact with South Korean companies/ backed-up by South Korean researchers. We will
then translate Dutch solutions specifically for the South Korean market based on the already developed automated sensors and systems for soybean production in the local market.

Topics that will be specifically addressed are:
1. High-throughput screening of internal and external quality of soybean (for breeding purpose)
2. Digitalisation in greenhouse setting and open field agriculture
3. Data acquisition and data analysis
