Description
The goal of the project is to:
• Design a 4-year Netherlands – Iran Potato Project to demonstrate a demand-oriented potato
supply approach that works for Iran, focusing on best practices on varieties, cultivation, cold
storage & climate control, minimising post-harvest losses and maximizing output of processing
plants, leading to one or more B2B multiple-year consortia.
• Identify issues at the government or potato association level that could catalyse the further
development of the potato sector in Iran i.e. support to UPOV membership and implementation.
