As a proof-of-principle the strategy will be implemented in four cases of a specific pest-commodity combination in four countries:

1. Citrus black spot (CBS), Argentina/Brazil

2. China citrus long horn beetle (CLB)

3. Thrips in Thailand

4. Fruit flies in the Netherlands

Hopefully, the initiatives of offering technical support to the countries to solve the phytosanitary problems together may also improve the leading position of the Netherlands in international trading.
