Senior Expert at: Systems Science for Transitions to Sustainable Agri-food Systems

This assignment will advance scientific methods and approaches towards stronger integration of different disciplines and more effective engagement of societal stakeholders. As a result, agri-food systems in sub-Saharan Africa will progress towards several Sustainable Development Goals. To achieve this, the Senior Expert will develop methods for considering farm labour dynamics and research approaches for more equitable impact. Through this assignment, locally-adapted innovations and development pathways will be designed together with farmers and other actors in the value chain. Moreover, the Senior Expert will contribute to knowledge and capacity sharing through a community of practice on systems science.
