Senior expert at CGIAR to develop a smart partnership and a Centre of Expertise on Food Systems Resilience (FSR) in the Horn of Africa (that supports FSR governance and programming for improved food security and healthy diets in protracted food crises.

The Senior Expert to CGIAR’s Nutrition, Health and Food Security Impact Platform acts upon the interest of CGIAR to develop smart partnerships in countries experiencing protracted food crises. With research systems under-resourced and capacities of in-country knowledge and research institutions limited, the SE contributes to the realisation of a Centre of Expertise on Food Systems Resilience in the Horn of Africa (acting upon regional/national food systems transformation priorities) aimed at improved food security and sustainable healthy diets. The initiative builds upon the research and innovation portfolio developed by WUR and regional/national knowledge partners through Dutch government-funded programmes such as FNS-REPRO.
