The challenges for liveable, healthy and food secure cities are immense to future developments due to increase in urban population, pressure on natural resources, climate change, as well as possible economic instability. While these metropolitan challenges will increase, the future will also accommodate  possibilities to meet these challenges in appropriate manners with new technologies and more information possibilities which can advance research and smart business solution. While the possibilities are available, they also have to be implemented in good ways. Select tools is a project that explored the possibilities for stakeholder support in transitions towards more sustainable and resilient metropolitan areas.
