Project: LVVN project
This project addresses shocks and collapses in agrifood systems due to known or (yet) unknown factors and the application of resilience thinking to improve food and nutrition security. Agrifood systems are increasingly subject to natural or man-made stresses. Shocks like food crises over the past years caused by increased variability in global food prices have led to the concern that food and nutrition security (FNS) will decrease across the world. This project aims to develop novel modelling tools and indicators for resilience in agrifood systems that address uncertainties and feedback mechanisms at multiple scales and cross different systems. The results will contribute to better understanding of resilience mechanisms and support policy decisions by government and the private sector alike
