Project Details
Description
| Chemical control still plays a dominant role in crop protection in practice, resulting in considerable risks for labor health and environment. The objective is designing a methodology for ex-ante evaluation of technical designs and ex-post evaluation of field tested designs for greenhouse tomatoes and orchards, with special attention for the earnings model of products with low residues. The project will produce deliverables for the EU project PURE (pesticide use and risk reduction in European farming systems with IPM) and a step-by-step plan for design and evaluation of fully sustainable crop protection systems.
