Description
A catch bond is a type of bond that becomes stronger with an increasing force. They have been found in a couple proteins inside cells. These catch-bonds are crucial for the mechanical response and there are many more waiting to be discovered. However, current methods to test whether proteins are catch-bonds are challenging and incredibly time-consuming. Therefore, I’m creating a simple and cheap machine, which is able to measure whether a protein is a catch-bond in a matter of days.
