Plant protein fractionation processes based on energy-extensive separation systems.

Project: PhD

Project Details

Description

The project focuses on the fractionation of plant protein using different type and setting of membrane system. Different types of membranes will be explored for their selectivity and fouling potential. Appropriate mathematical model will be devised on the result found on the experimental investigation. On later stage, the potential of membrane cascade will be studied to see the effect of multi-stage processing on the separation of plant proteins. The out come will be described using available models and existing models will be validated. Finally, the sustainability of the optimum process developed will be analyzed and compared with other separation techniques. Sustainability aspect of the processes will be discussed choosing the least energy use for higher yield during the separation process.
