Pilot stabiliteit antilichamen in eieren (BO-20-009-029)

For a research project investigating the risk on introduction of AI during the year (WOT-O onderzoeksvoorstel 2015-2016), eggs from free range farms will be collected and stored for a period of maximum 6 months. When sera of a farm test positive for AI, the eggs of the months before will be tested for antibodies against AI. This will make it possible to determine the exact date of introduction of AI. Before this project can start, we need to determine if  the antibodies are stable in the eggs during storage. This project showed that the antibodies are stable in eggs during a minimal period of 3 months.
