Description
Since two years the Meyn system for automatic monitoring of footpad lesions in broiler chickens is allowed by legislation. The system is approved after a study of WUR Livestock Research where the system was validated using a trained observer as a golden standard.
Recently a slaughter plant indicated that the camera system seems to give inappropriate scores. The scores seem to differ from these given by a trained observer.
Therefore, a new validation of the camera system is necessary.
